Creative Lab

Braintree, MA

Creative Lab was where I first learned about working in production and how art was translated into merchandise, marketing, etc. I started by screen-printing large orders of soft goods and eventually worked my way into doing graphic design for our clients.

My time here taught me a lot about what it means to produce art and sell it. I already knew how to illustrate, design, and take that to the screen-print press. However, production pace, client relations, business strategy, and other factors were more important then ever. I was learning in a fast paced environment and that pushed me to excel.

Soon I began doing mockups of garments using our clients logo’s and graphics. Then after a time, I was designing custom graphics for our shop and clientele. I became more confident designing for garments since I had a greater understanding of the print process. Designing garments was also a great bridge with our clients that allowed me to design some other logo and promotional material for them.
