Doc Wayne

Doc Wayne is revolutionizing mental health care for youth by using sport based therapies. They are giving an amazing advantage in life by providing support in an area where kids often don’t see it. They needed a mural in their office that would embody their mission. I designed this mural to show both the journey and the effects of positive mental health.
Doc Wayne supports kids through their most important years of life. Their goal is to help overcome barriers in life that create inequalities in their community, and it's access to better mental health. I set out to create a narrative image that showcased equality as well as community, which I felt were central to Doc Wayne’s mission.
Doc Wayne had a very specific budget they were working with so I adjusted my approach to fit their needs. I filled the composition as much as possible without it looking over crowded, but I left the background white so the whole wall didn’t need to be painted.
